I've got copies of the ddebug & syslog Basically the install went and detected the drives etc, killed a runaway process and went back to the begnning of the install. This may have been a one off, i haven't had chance to try it again. All of the installation configuration screens are all this slow. The install copying files performs normally. Then when getting to the end of the copying files part of the installation where it says 10 seconds left on my system it takes a whopping 10 mins of no hdd activity to get to the next screen. Where post installation configuration box is showing for about another 5 mins. Each screen after this seems to take addition 5 to 10 mins to get to the next section. I have installed 3 times and it performed this way everytime. I am downloading 9.0 to see if this is my system having the issue or the new beta. My system is p3-800, 256mb, 50gig hdd, 2- 10/100 nic cards, nvidia gf2ddr..
