Guys, please give more detail here, if you want to see any more bugs fixed.

The issue 5mdk addresses is when you have a dhcp server that returns dns
servers, but does not return a domain name, and the init script then not adding
the dns servers to /etc/resolv.conf. This has apparently been fixed in 5mdk.

If you have this (and only this) bug, then you would be able to ping IPs, but
not hostnames. It would also not have anything to do with the default route.

So, until someone clarifies what this bug is (with some debugging information,
such as the contents of /var/lib/dhcp/dhclient-eth?.leases to show if you got an
IP and what info your dhcp server provided, contents of /etc/resolv.conf, output
of /sbin/route, whether you got the ip in the leases file, and whether you can
ping both by name and by ip hosts outside your subnet), I will not confirm this
bug, since it is either a dupe of the bug fixed by 5mdk, or it may be something
else.

(IOW, Levi, I think you may want to file a seperate bug, and you are going to
need to provide at least the info mentioned above, plus some more to show why
your routes are changing.)

DHCP doesnt work for me. I access the internet through a hardware router.
I have to set my IP and the Gateway manually to get Internet Access.
