------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-03-06 19:02 -------
proftpd-xinetd is listed because it provides xinetd with a config file so that one can
run proftpd in
either standalone server moder or in "run when needed" mode

as of misleading informations, this has been fixed in drakxtools-9.1-6mdk (see #502)

Startup mcc and go to system, then DrakXservices. It lists all services including
those which are not even installed on the system. For example, it shows both
proftpd and proftpd-xinetd even though only proftpd is installed. Why ?

I ran "rpm -qa | grep alsa" and got this:
libalsa-data-0.9.0-0.13rc7mdk
libalsa2-0.9.0-0.13rc7mdk
Obviously, there is no way I can run the alsa daemon. Mcc shows the alsa
service as "stopped". I click on "start" and the the services window freezes. I go
back to the main menu and return to the services window to see the status of
alsa changed to "running" !! But "ps -ef" shows no alsa daemon at all.
Why is mcc giving such misleading info ?
