Turning DRI on in Xfree86 causes random complete lockups and display failure ( display
suddenly goes blank and keyboard doesn't respond).
Turning DRI off and using 2.4.20-mdk kernel produces a stable system.
I use cpq presario 1720US laptop, radeon mobility M6 LY, pentium 3 coppermine 1 Ghz.
