------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-03-06 16:20 ------- I don't believe this is really a bug, since the free driver for the hpt372 only allows the controller to act as a standard ATA controller. Perhaps the bug is that it allows you to configure the RAID despite the fact that it is not supportted. In my view, setting as a standad ATA controller and using Linux software RAID is preferable anyway ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: UNCONFIRMED creation_date: description: 1)Installer detects ata100raid/0 fine. :) 2) after partitioning ect. installer asks for a restart, restarts. ( ext3 fs the only option for formatting the raid? ) 3) installer complains about bad partitions but installs fine. 4)when it goes back for a reboot the HPT bios says that Raid Array is broken and asks for it to be deleted or hidden.
