Could it be that drakfw does not take ppp0 (or whatever) as network interface in account, or it does not change the shorewall rules if dial up is done ? The same problem existed in 9.0 . I switched the firewall on and all was blocked. But I feel too someone should provide a meaningfull bugreport. Bugreport should contain (I guess)(Please add all you need florin): - version of drakxtools-newt (latest from cooker ?) - version shorewall (latest from cooker ?) - description of the network ( 1, 2 or 3 computers, standalone or connected to a network, internet over another machine or is the computer the router and so on. ) - error messages, meaningfull messages in /var/log/messages ? while connected to the internet and one time when not: - iptables -L output - route -n output - ifconfig output With this "here it work" and "here it does not work" and "shorewall is guilty" nothing is won. shorewall just configures iptables and if shorewall has a wrong config it can block internet access. So by all means if drakfw does not configure it right drakfw or drakgw has a bug not shorewall (since buchan said shorewall is fine, and I guess buchan knows what he is saying). -- Regards Steffen ____________________ counter.li.org : #296567. machine: 181800 vdr-box : 87 ____________________ Please dont CC me, since if I have replied I'll watch the tread.
