After discussion with Evolution hackers, it appears postfix 2.0.x modifies mail
sent with "sendmail" command when end of line is '\r\n', which causes the
signature to be broken.. This behaviour is not seen in postfix 1.1.x nor in
cooker sendmail..

Anyway, I have a patch fixing Evolution behaviour to use '\n' when sending mail
with "sendmail", which fix the signature corruption..

Fixed in evolution 1.2.2-2mdk. Thanks for this "interesting" bug report :))

9.1 Beta 3:

With Evolution 1.2.1-1mdk, when I sign a message with GPG, even a simple one
line one to myself, the signature does not verify. Others are also unable to
verify the signature.

9.1 Beta 2:

Since Evolution was not on this set, I grabbed the packages from Ximian for
1.2.1 and GPG signatures worked.

9.1 Beta 1

This was also Evolution 1.2.1-1mdk and GPG signatures did verify under this.
