Sony Vaio SR1K also z505 and also z600.
Linux 9.1rc1 fails to boot/install via floppy and/or CDrom install/boot, even
using the image file utility. Note that the 'tree' is no longer consistent with
the install.htm tree suggested.
If I use the 9.0 cdrom no problems at all on all three machines.
Seems like there's something wrong with the 9.1beta and RC1 initial install
procedure.
