The first bug has been resolved, the second bug is always valid (I know it is a bad
idea to put
2 bugs in a bug report, sorry about that).

1 - click on any checkbox in order to choose a file (let'schoose syslog)
2 - enter a string in the text box to do the query (whatever you want)
3 - click on the find button
4 - click on Valid button
5 - click on Cancel button in the new window
6 - uncheck the checkbox you previously checked
 ... and patatra

logdrake segfault with the following output:

# logdrake
hostname: Unknown host
Can't call method "set_sensitive" on an undefined value at
/usr/lib/libDrakX/ugtk2.pm line 74.

OR the following output:
# logdrake
hostname: Unknown host
Is gtk2-perl missing Gtk2::TextView::get_length ?
Call trace:
        Gtk2::_Object::AUTOLOAD() called from /usr/sbin/logdrake:489
        main::save() called from /usr/lib/libDrakX/ugtk2.pm:826
        (eval)() called from /usr/lib/libDrakX/ugtk2.pm:826
        ugtk2::main() called from /usr/sbin/logdrake:212

If you open the "Save as" window by clicking on the "Valid" button, and choose
Cancel or Apply (with a valid file name).

I think a cleanup button should be a good idea, because all queries are appended
in the output window.
