This is not a bug. It's because the BIOS "AntiVirus" check does simply monitor if something tries to write to the MBR of the disk, and then it complains... Since LILO itself exists in MBR, anything besides the default entry will trigger the BIOS "AntiVirus", because lilo changes it's internal info to match the selected option... There is at least three ways around this... 1. Disable BIOS AV check 2. Simply press Y when BIOS AV asks if you want to continue... 3. Install LILO on a floppy... Thomas
