I have been looking at yoper from nz and they have have an nvidia file with 
sound file in it.

Here is from the readme file:
"
Sound

please edit /etc/modules.conf and add

alias sound-slot-0 nvaudio

and restart Xwindows and choose the mixer to unmute the sound
"
