The orignal URL I gave was no longer accessible since the web site was closed.
I'm sorry I just find out that this bug has noting to do with KDE at all.
I should have put it as a bug of the Linux kernel, since its a coding error in
vfat support of kernel 2.4 up to the current 2.4.20.
I just checked the source files of Linux kernel 2.4.20. The two related files,
nls_cp936.c and nls_cp950.c, are still badly written. Thus the bug in fact still
exists, but we have to close it since it has noting to do with the K Desktop.
