I propose that the /usr/bin/desktop-links script check for a
~/Desktop/.noremovablemedia file and if it's there remove the Removable Media
folder from the desktop, and prevent the creation of a new one. Many of us do not
like when scripts re-create things we remove on purpose. I could probably modify
the current script myself and re-submit it, if need be. Just say the word.
