------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-02-16 08:21 -------
Hope you don't mind but with a satifactory work around being available and the fact
that it would almost require a different install for laptops from desktops, I'm moving
this to later. Maybe in 9.2 *grin*

description:
During shutdown on 9.1 Beta 3 on a Compaq Armada M700 the following procedure
occurs. (Shutting down from run level 3 or 5)

Shutting down SMB OK
Shutting down NMB Failed

(a few more occur I can't remember it all.)
Starting Killall
Shutting down PCMCIA OK
Shutting down eth0 Failed
Shutting down SMB Failed
Shutting down NMB Failed

I can only find one instance of links to SMB occur is a S91smb in 3 and 5. As
well as This K09smb run level 6. It seems to be a conflict between the run
level 6 commands and killall where killall duplicates much of rcd.6.
