[snip] > - apache2-2.0.44-4mdk.i586 [snip] Finally! Yihaa!, ride on! (something for the mandrake-whatever-* site?) Here's my summarized apache2 story (draft): This journey begun for me sometime in april 2002 trying to figure out this apache2 beast, it wasn't easy, let me tell you... Me and Jean-Michel Dault of MandrakeSoft came to a mutual understanding I could give it a shot. So I did, and it really turned out ot be a daunting task. I've spent soooo many hours with the beast I don't even want to think about it.... (it's almost a year ago now...) Redhat got chicken at the 2.0.40 release (they're still stucked), but not I, I just kept going like a duracell bunny... I refused to recognize each release as final, and bingo!. Here we are..., just like lightening..., with a final API! (2.0.44). The work (my work) has payed off, all those hours of agony and despair is finally to an end for me and you fellow apachees. I present to you apache2 and its apachees, shaped and forged into Mandrake. Good luck to everyone, and have a smooth pleasant ride with this beast! Great thanks goes to Jean-Michel Dault of MandrakeSoft, Christian Belisle, myself, and a handful of other cookers. Jean-Michel Dault now has more than Gabrielle to take care of. Take good care of business J-M! "I usally don't "speak" this much, but I thought I had to this time. I'm pretty damned proud we could get this far! I hope the ASF community agrees on this one too. Damned it, I'm pretty proud on my behalf too :-)" -- Regards // Oden Eriksson, Deserve-IT.com
