When you are logged on in Gnome2 and using metacity (didn't test with sawfish),
you cannot launch the window properties weither you call it from Start Here icon
or from the MandrakeLinux Menu (gnome > properties ...), the application bar
will show it for a couple of seconds and it then dies.
