Menu Configuration/Gnome/Advanced/GConf Editor (needs gconf-editor rpm):

Desktop/Gnome/Url-handlers/ftp:

Command galeon "%s" was enabled. Unchecking the enable box solved this problem.
I don't know where this previous setting came from but, as someone pointed out,
this might cause some problem for people upgrading from 9.0.

Trying to view a ftp site under galeon opens mozilla to view it. This is under
a new user.

Under 'Preferred Applications', I change the default web browser to Galeon. I
also change Internet Services->ftp under 'File Types and Preferences' to use galeon.

Now, trying to view a ftp site in galeon opens a new galeon browser window on my
homepage, but still no FTP view.
