It appears the X server cannot return the correct color depth to
applications that request it. I have observed this in two applications:
- BZFlag is unable to adjust screen brightness because there is no color
depth info available
- Evas (1.0.0-pre) crashes immediately whenever a linked program starts
up. Upon debugging I found the cause of the crash to be x_depth being
reported as 0, verifying the bug.
Libraries such as evas that depend on color depth information from the X
server cannot run as a result.
