It would be nice to know when Mandrake plans a "feature freeze" on the 9.1 development and starts working on the "look and feel" and "stability"
Up until what date are new versions of packages allowed in "Main"? Contrib? I'm asking this because it would be nice to know when to put more emphasis and critic on the usability versus the functionality or consistency and or stability of Cooker. For example, I previously asked about the need to have Xconsole as a standard on the desktop. Maybe it should be automatic for the "expert" install but not for a "normal" install. I think Xconsole would be more attractive (and less confusing to newbies) if it was colorized like a terminal window (because of the strange color codes that appear in the output) Anyway, there are several small details in the standard settings which would make a world of difference to a new user to linux which could be suggested. Know when to concentrate on these would be helpful. Another idea would be to have a usability mailing list for Cooker which ONLY focuses on GUI, configuration and look & Feel issues . . .
