------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-01-20 20:40 ------- http://www.ibiblio.org/mdw/HOWTO/BootPrompt-HOWTO-2.html#ss2.2 ------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-01-20 21:59 ------- OK. I pressed Esc at the Mandrake boot menu to get to the lilo boot prompt. I tried all these: linux ide=nodma linux acpi=off linux ide=nodma acpi=off And I still got the debug nessage. I also tried to boot with failsafe and I also got the debug message. It only had this at the start: hde: status error: status=0x58 { DriveReady SeekComplete DataRequest } hde: drive not ready for command hde: 681472 sectors (349 MB) w/44KiB cache, CHS=88/88/88 an this added at the end: spurious 8259A interrupt: IRQ7 If this helps, the drive connected to RAID controller is IBM DHEA-38451 ATA 33 and it has 8.45 GB. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] description: I just installed Mandrake 9.1 Beta 2 and after install I can't boot it. The only thing I get on screen is some debug info and some error message about /dev/hde. On keyboard Caps lock and Scroll Lock are flashing and the only thing I can do is turn off the computer. /dev/hde is a hard drive on HightPint HPT370 RAID controler that is integrated onto motherboard Abit KT7A-RAID. Mandrake 9.0 boots just fine on the same computer. The BIOS version is A9 and the BIOS version of HPT370 is 2.34.
