Per the requests on MandrakeForum, I am giving revelant details from
kernel crashes due to ejection of pcmcia cards. In this case, the unit
is a Addonics AD-285 portable cd drive on a Toshiba Portege 7200CT
laptop.
Pre and Post PCMCIA insertion of the following commands are in the
attached text file.
lspcidrake -v

lsmod
Inserting the portable cdrom pcmcia adapter works as expected. Ejection
of the device causes a kernel panic. I am happy to help provide
additional details upon request otherwise I hope the attached info will
be helpful in resolving this problem prior to 8.2 GOLD.
