Hi all. getting a kernel prob when shuting down,
I'm using 2.4.16 I know this happens on 2.4.17 and 2.4.13 so fairly generic. I have the ax25 & mkiss modules loaded for the app I'm using. When all the deamons are shut down and the interface ax0 has been shut down fron ifconfig. I'm getting a repeating error message at the stage just before the file systems are unmounted " unregistered_netdevice: waiting for ax0 to become free usagecount=3" the usage count varies, but at that point to only way to get out is the reset or power switch. I've heard rumours this is a known kernel bug, could someone confirm or deny this, and any suggestions how to get around it. TIA BG Richard
