I use wireless networking at home, with a Linksys hup and the lucent pcmcia
card and it works perfectly. Also, I use it on a few other networks that I
have to work on and all I do is change the ecryption key in
/etc/pcmcia/wireless.opts. I am not sure if this will work the same way for
you, but here it is seemless. I get 11Mps transfer rate.
I am running 8.0RC1 (with latest upgrades in cooker). Do not attempt to use a
kernel with the pcmcia drivers compiled direct from the kernel, make sure you
use on the the distributed ones and you should be OK.
As far as info you may need from AT&T you should be able to capture it from
what they gave you. DHCP , Network Name, and encryption key/passwd.
