I'm using KDE 2.1.0-beta-2 in Mandrake 7.2 and KDM works perfectly. It
worked OK with beta-1 as well. I installed them from Mandrake RPMs, later
overwritten with KDE's tarballs - to get the goodies Mandrake leave out.
In every case KDM works OK. I have seen the behaviour you mention and it has
nothing to do with KDE, so there's no point in sending a KDE bug report.
It's something that Mandrake has introduced, perhaps in the frenzy of
packaging new versions daily (until recently).
