Hi all ,
First , I have installed Madrake 7.2 b3 to test it on serveral
configuration and could tell that the installation is now very easy
.[for me ;-)]
Some of the problems I've encountered when I've installed it are :
- @ the boot creation step :
in some of my computer I've IDE Floppy (caleb technology) that
support 144M floppy and also 1.44M floppy , we could not use them (even
when in expert mode)
Note that this floppy drive is reconized as floppy by hardrake after
installation.
- One of my computers have a Canon BJC5100 printer (that doesn't have
filter for it) I've
tryed all 5000 6000 6100 600 ... filter but no one enable me to print
;-(
- One of my computers have a plustek U12 USB scanner (when I scan for
USB hardware I could see it ) and I could not use it .
there is no clear installation of scanner . (I've installed (all
pakage in you distribution (including sane;-)) and I could not see in
the file/acquire menu from scanner !!
- I've in one of my computer a Lava dual parallel card and the
hardrake detect it but
doesn't know it ;-) here information given by harddrake :
