I found out...

I used mkisofs to create an .iso file that I used to press the CD...

I used the following parameters:

mkisofs -a -l -L -r -m RPMS2 -o mdk71.iso
/home/httpd/html/linux/Mandrake/current/

However I haven't tried to make this CD bootable. I'm missing a few
parameters in the above command.

I had to remove the directory RPMS2 as it is part of the second CD. I
haven't cut this second CD because I'm not sure where the rpms should be
located...

MDK7.1 install with no problem provided you create a boot disk using
rawwrite and the .img files located on the new CD.

It is easier for me to grap the rpms one after another than to grab the
whole ISO file on a mirror.

I'm sorry, I also thought you were asking how to make the image.  Anyway, I
didn't really have much luck doing the split, but what I did do was make a
/cooker directory and drop the entire package there and use hd.img to
install.
