------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-21-10 17:25 ------- First, let's state Evolution IMAP support has always and is still sub-optimal (and this is acknowledged by evo authors). So, it is not really a problem on Evolution side, but on your IMAP server and the way it is not able to handle large queries.. I think you should fill a bug either on bugzilla.ximian.com or on your IMAP server bug report system... -- Configure bugmail: http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: UNCONFIRMED creation_date: description: I have mailboxes that are between 150MB-350MB in size (and Yes, I want to keep all this information). Newer versions of Evolution are very slow to respond and end up thrashing the disks on the IMAP mail server. The version supplied with MDK 9.0 and 9.1 did not have this problem. This suggests Evolution has some additional linear search behaviour it didn't have before. It's virtually unusable as it is now. I'm tempted to use Mozilla mail, but the version supplied with MDK 9.2 has a significant memory leak (and I have 1GB of RAM).
