Well, I am the guy that posted with Outlook Express. Since I normally use
Linux, I was unaware that Outlook Express defaulted to HTML. I apologize
for causing you so many problems.
Anyway, I had many different problems with Beta 3. I assume that quite a
few of them were due to a bad ISO (Extensions CD) which stayed out on all of
the mirrors for over a week and didn't allow me to test with the correct
image. That kind of practice doesn't make testers move faster either.
I downloaded the final release and had several problems during an expert
install. After trying three times to perform an Expert install, to no
avail, I chose a Customized install and it worked with no problems. I'm
sure that was planned that way to keep those pesky users from messing up
their system.
While I do like the 7.1 release much better than previous versions, and I
take my hat off to Mandrake for their work, I think that there was a lot
more that could've been fixed, atleast in the installs (Automated,
Customized, Expert).
Once again, I'm using a Microsoft product to send this email (From Work).
Hopefully, HTML will not rear it's ugly head.
