Lyx 1.3.0 was released at Feb 2, 2003. You are still stuck with 1.2.3. I am
already using 1.3.0 for a lot of texts and dont want to have a downgrade when
installing MDK-9.1. Please upgrade and definately use the QT-Frontend. It
rocks! :-)
