I'll downloaded and installed RC2 and the "bug" is still there. Mandrake does not
setup my
cable internet connection correctly upon installation. Trying to fix it using the
Mandrake
Control Center was also unsuccessfull. The only way to get connected to the internet
is to run
dhcpcd from the console each time I log in.

I've installed Mandrake 8.1 in the past and my cable internet connection was setup
fine.

description:
I went through the installation and my cable modem internet access was not set-up
properly. I tried fixing it in the Mandrake Control Center but couldn't make it work
(i.e., I
couldn't get access to the internet).

The only way I could get internet access was to type "dhcpcd" at the consol. I now
have
to do this every time I login.

Thanks,

Steve
