It looks like the dates in ~HOME/.openoffice are the same as my original install which was 9.0. It worked just fine in 9.0. If the only change is the upgrade to 9.1 RC2 from 9.0, why is that a user bug? Because of the bug I cannot tell more. The menu text in all OO apps, and tab text in OO Calc are missing. All I get are "_" where the text should be. Because of this specific bug I can't get in to try other fonts to see if there is a work-around.
