The first time I installed WP 2000 on hydrogen, it wouldn't even start.
I reinstalled hydrogen (just trying different options) and then
reinstalled WP 2000 (this time starting the install script as $user
instead of root), now it works just fine.  I'm still using the 1st beta
of hydrogen, but I have updated quite a few programs as they've come out
(including the kernel).  I don't know if this has had an impact on
anything or if I just got lucky!
