% cat VERSION
linux-mandrake Hydrogen (20000511)
While attempting to install the above version of Mandrake, it would not allow
me to create a 7MB /boot partition. I normally allocate a 7MB partition at
the start of my drive, taking up a single cylinder. This worked fine under
Mandrake 7.0 (Air), but under the above version, no matter how small I told
it I wanted the first primary partition, it created one that spanned two
cylinders and took up 15MB. This is a bit of overkill for a partition that
will hold less than a megabyte of data (914k according to "df" on my 7.0
installation). I was sort of happy under 7.0 that I didn't have to use
"fdisk" to partition my drives, I hope 7.1 can be fixed in time...
