XFdrake:
Where do I start. . .

1) It automatically resets itself to a generic hi frequency monitor no
matter what your monitor settings are.

2) It ignores the existing configuration when presenting the resolution
        dialog.

3) If you want to change your video card with it, you must first allow it
to test before you can get a change card option.

4) If you have a BIOS disabled onboard video controller, it still detects
it instead of the active card. (I must have generated a half dozen
        configs for the 5446).

5) If you start it on the console, it tries to start xfs. Unfortunately,
while this is appropriate for when it is called by kudzu, it is wrong
most other times. The net result is that the failure to load xfs then
makes testing of the newly selected mode impossible (unable to load
default font: fixed). Further, you cannot startx afterwards because
of the error it created. (X is unable to connect to the font server
even though it is running.) So, you need to either test for xfs and
not try to load it if it is already running or by default kill xfs
        before starting it.
