We will draw on a variety of gilding techniques that are compatible with a wide variety of media including silver gelatin prints, paste paper, woodblock and other printing methods, oil pastel, oil paint, watercolor, gouache, acrylic, encaustic, etc. Students are encouraged to bring samples that they can learn to gild. Every paper and technique require unique approaches to applying gold and other precious metal leafs.
