./config.guess: unable to guess system type
This script, last modified 2009-04-27, has failed to recognize
the operating system you are using. It is advised that you
download the most up to date version of the config scripts from
http://git.savannah.gnu.org/gitweb/?p=config.git;a=blob_plain;f=config.guess;hb=HEAD
and
http://git.savannah.gnu.org/gitweb/?p=config.git;a=blob_plain;f=config.sub;hb=HEAD
If the version you run (./config.guess) is already up to date, please
send the following data and any information you think might be
pertinent to <[email protected]> in order to provide the needed
information to handle your system.
config.guess timestamp = 2009-04-27
uname -m = aarch64
uname -r = 6.12.47+rpt-rpi-v8
uname -s = Linux
uname -v = #1 SMP PREEMPT Debian 1:6.12.47-1+rpt1 (2025-09-16)
/usr/bin/uname -p = unknown
/bin/uname -X =

/bin/universe =
/usr/bin/arch -k =
/bin/arch = aarch64
/usr/bin/oslevel =

We see this every so often.  You are trying to build on aarch64 with a config.guess script that is older than aarch64.

Try `find . -name config.guess -o -name config.sub` to locate all copies that the package has and then replace all of them with the current versions downloaded as the message says.

Optionally, also contact whoever maintains the package that is giving you trouble and ask them to update the config.guess and config.sub scripts that they distribute.
