Hi,
I have been trying to install openmpi-1.6.1 on my Mac Pro under
Xcode running OS-10.7 (lion) and have run into a problem. I worked through
the installation of the gcc and gfortran files following the instructions
from David Whipp. When I go to the installation of openmpi-1.6.1 (his
also) I found that the ./configure command didn't work. It didn't know
how to find the operating system and recommended downloading two files from
"git.savannah.gnu.org. However, these two files differ only in the end of
the file name, "f.config.guess" and "f.config.sub" and the saves for both
of these files are "gitweb" so one overwrites the other. I tried naming
one of them "gitweb2" but this didn't work. What should I do?
       Incidentally I downloaded openmpi-1.6.1 instead of openmpi-1.6.4
because the latter wouldn't compile. Will it compile with the newer
compilers?
If there is any further information you need l shall be glad to
furnish it.
                    Amos Leffler @ amosl...@gmail.com
