Unfortunately, you can say goodbye to those files. Because you installed a fresh copy of XP a new SID was created. It is the SID + user ID (not the user name - the ID is a GUID number which MAY or may not be the same after the fresh copy install) + user password which is used to create the encryption key. And without that encryption key you will almost certainly never get back those files. Perhaps there might be some encryption cracker software which might recover them for you but I doubt it.
