I always post with the most odd messages, hopefully someone can bring some light to my dark hour. I have multiple group policies assigned to two different test machines, one running Windows XP and one running Windows 7. I have a crazy amount of stuff restricted and blocked.
The problem is that when I apply these policies, odd things begin to happen... Windows XP machine does the following: 1. Pressing the start button on the keyboard does nothing 2. The start bar is minimized, and though when I hover my mouse over and get the double arrow to drag it out, clicking and holding does nothing. 3. Windows Media player shows a blank white screen 4. Internet Explorer opens and then closes immediately. 5. I can open the event viewer, but when I try to open properties for any events it does nothing, just acts as though I have done nothing. 6. Getting a notification dll not registered, wireless utility failure upon logon. Windows 7 machine does the following: Boots up to a black screen with only my mouse, nothing working, no icons, no start, no task manager. Safe mode and last known good do absolutely nothing. Any ideas?!? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Computer Tech Support" group. To post to this group, send email to [email protected].
