Dear Eliot,

I know this is the case because I am the one posing the question that no one wants to consider it (this is also part of my game :-) ). However, there also are ramifications for other RFC 6852 (corporate, national, Libre) "global communities" and for their own "ICANN"s and "IANA"s.

Those ramifications should be addressed and not swept under the supposed troll's rug. You were gallant enough to question the PTI artificial issue that ICANN uses for the few of the affinity group (in toto, only 68 different people were related to the IANAPLAN mailing list) to focus on it instead of discussing the Google, Amazon, Facebook, VeriSign, China, Russia, Libre, Europe, Lichtenstein, etc. strategies' technical implications and the MYCANN-Plug-in.

The time has come to consider the real issue: how is the catenet to transition from NTIA's multilateralism to a MULTICANN multistakeholderism? I am going on a vacation. When I am back, I will forward my appeal to the IAB, asking for an IETF WG/MULTICANN to be chartered. If this is denied, I will ask for a non-WG [email protected] mailing list. If I am denied that, I will appeal it (NB! This mail respects the RFC 2026 appeal preparation procedure requiring the relevant ADs to be informed). If still denied, I will be obliged to accept that on Jan 8, 2015 Jari Arkko actually forked the IETF over to the US/IETF, when stating "The NTIA must then consider and approve the proposal. Finally, it must be implemented."

A "MUST" not ultimately resulting from a Global IETF rough consensus but rather from a local political decision. The democratic internet legend will definitely be gone with the wind. I am afraid that this might be to everyone's detriment.

Take care and thank you for all your hard work on this issue.
