Hi there,

Right now, Congress is trying to pass "Fast Track" legislation to speed the secretive Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) agreement into law.

So far we're doing a great job staving off this attack on our online freedom, but no matter what the final vote is going to be really really close. One of the most important things that could still sway lawmakers is where the tech community stands on this issue.

We're working with our friends at the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) to get as many tech companies, startups, and websites as possible signed on to a letter expressing concerns with the utter lack of transparency in both Fast Track and the TPP, as well as the dangerous copyright provisions that will stifle innovation, put startups at risk, and could lead to global Internet censorship.

Do you run a U.S.-based website, startup, or tech company?

To be clear, we are ONLY looking for companies, websites, or organizations to sign that letter, not individuals. The deadline for signing on is end of day (EST) on Monday!

If you don't run a company or website, that's okay, you can still help!

Just yesterday the Senate voted to advance debate on Fast Track legislation. The situation has never been more urgent. Our pressure is working but we have to get even louder now.

Keep it up. -Evan at FFTF
