Ah that makes sense, I've successfully applied the patch and can confirm it
does not fix the issues with WebHDFS initializing an alt-kerberos auth handler
sub class. It is showing signs of the same issues mentioned in my previous
comment (ie namenode file browser page shows "Authentication failed when trying
to open /webhdfs/v1/?op=LISTSTATUS: Unauthorized.")
