Thanks for following up on my comments. Looks good.
Minor comment. I think we added a check for java version and have used it to
enable java api's for java 7, if available. If java 7 File.canWrite etc are
going to work on Windows (like mentioned in some comments above) then we could
enable the API path when (!Windows or Java>6).
Please do open a jira to fix this issue in branch-1-win too.
