Syed Shameerur Rahman commented on HADOOP-19619:
------------------------------------------------
Multi-Region Access Points supports copy operations using Multi-Region Access
Points only as a destination when using the Multi-Region Access Point ARN
(Refer :
We need to skip tests which does copy/rename when MRAP Arn is used. Currently
due to Junit 5 changes in hadoop-aws module , S3A ITests are failing which is
blocking the development on this feature.

> S3A : Add Support For Multi-Region S3 Access Points

> [Amazon S3 Multi-Region Access
> Points|https://aws.amazon.com/s3/features/multi-region-access-points/]
> provide a global endpoint for applications that need to access data stored in
> S3 buckets located in multiple AWS regions. This feature simplifies how
> applications access data distributed across different geographic locations,
> providing a single endpoint that automatically routes requests to the bucket
> with the lowest latency.
> The current implementation in S3A only allows single region access point and
> the goal is to expand the scope/implementation to include multi-region-access
> points as well.
