Syed Shameerur Rahman updated HADOOP-19619:
-------------------------------------------
Description:
[Amazon S3 Multi-Region Access
Points|https://aws.amazon.com/s3/features/multi-region-access-points/] provide
a global endpoint for applications that need to access data stored in S3
buckets located in multiple AWS regions. This feature simplifies how
applications access data distributed across different geographic locations,
providing a single endpoint that automatically routes requests to the bucket
with the lowest latency.
The current implementation in S3A only allows single region access point and
the goal is to expand the scope/implementation to include multi-region-access
points as well.
