[~aajisaka], please do. I'm afraid my 5-year-old information is now grossly
out of date.
For reference, the white paper I wrote in 2016 is, remarkably, still available
in Cloudera's knowledge base, bless them:

Please understand clearly that it was written in the context of Hadoop 2.6+.
Hopefully all current readers are on Hadoop 3.x :) So the info is going to
take a lot of checking and updating.
