FYI -- we hit this issue again after patching HADOOP-15593 (on Hadoop 3.0.x).
Somehow the tgt was destroyed upon renewal.
We were on JDK8u141, and the issue went away after updating to JDK8u181. So as
a data point, stay away from 8u141. Seems to be a JDK bug.
