The need to support Salted Challenge Response Authentication Mechanism (SCRAM)
as a SASL mechanism in future was discussed in Jira HADOOP-9421. Given that
DIGEST-MD5 as SASL mechanism is insecure (refer [RFC-6331|
https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc6331]), support for SCRAM as SASL mechanism can
now be added.
