Branch-2 failures due to 8 allowing association of a principal with a keytab,
unlike 7. In practice the subject contains a KerberosPrincipal and Keytab. I
opted to extract the keytab's principal as fallback if a KerberosPrincipal is
not present. It's a "nice to have" but I'll just remove it. It shouldn't
impede a review (hint, hint, watchers) because I'll just be deleting a handful
of lines.
