I did a grep for "3.0.0" in the codebase. Most of them are in unit tests which
still seemed to work without also needing "-alpha1" appended.
Updated the NN/DN min software version requirements. We'll also need to change
this to "3.0.0-betaX" for the first beta, since that's when we start enforcing
compatibility again.
